Australian Taekwondo is pleased to announce the appointment of Bronwyn Slatter to its executive team as Communications Manager.

This new position will play a critical role in guiding Australian Taekwondo's communications and digital direction in line with the sport's new strategic plan.

Australian Taekwondo's CEO Heather Garriock is excited to have Bronwyn join the AUSTKD team to help drive the sport's digital communications forward.

"We are delighted to welcome Bronwyn to Taekwondo. She brings a wealth of experience to the sport and will complement our leadership team," said Garriock.

"It is critical for the sport that we appoint someone in a role of this kind. The position is key to the effective modernisation of Australian Taekwondo and growing participation nationally."

Bronwyn comes to Australian Taekwondo with over 15 years of experience working in the Australian sports industry, covering various roles in communications, public relations, marketing, commercial, and events.

Most recently, Bronwyn was the Marketing and Communications Manager for Triathlon Victoria, where she was accountable for delivering key outcomes within the association's strategic plan and in line with Triathlon Australia's national strategy.

"I feel both privileged and excited to join Australian Taekwondo and contribute to the growth and development of the sport," said Slatter.

"The role offers a canvas to implement more progressive communication strategies and practices, building on the foundation Taekwondo already has, to increase participation and foot traffic to clubs. Plus, promote our athletes from grassroots to elite level."

"The digital landscape is forever changing, and as a sport, we need to continually adapt and stay connected with our community to ensure growth."

Bronwyn will assist in driving Australian Taekwondo's public profile, ensuring that it receives maximum exposure in the public and industry arenas through various communications channels.

Bronwyn is based in Victoria and commences her role with Australian Taekwondo on September 13, 2021.
