In Taekwondo, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit should guide all students and instructors - on and off the mat. Our members should amplify these five tenets of Taekwondo, and the values of Australian Taekwondo below, to ensure a safe, respectful and welcoming martial art and sport for all.
Our values are the central, underlying philosophies that guide Australian Taekwondo. These beliefs influence how we work and interact with our clubs, members, and shareholders on a daily basis.
Above all, we're a team. That means we show up for each other, act with empathy, and bring our authentic selves to work every day.
We achieve more and are strongest when we collaborate and all work together as a team.
We welcome hard conversations and don’t make assumptions – ask and answer questions.
Opening our minds and combining our different backgrounds, experiences, world views and expertise make us better problem solvers and drives better results
We rely on each other to find solutions.
Our team is our toughest critic, our biggest challenger and our loudest supporter.
We act with integrity: We act honest, fair and transparent to doing what’s best for our stakeholders and our organisation. We openly collaborate and make responsible decisions based on professional standards.
We build trust through responsible actions and honest relationships.
We are trustworthy and act in good faith.
We make responsible decisions based on professional standards.
And we do it all even when no one is watching
We are brave and act with courage. We challenge the status quo, take bold steps and find new ways to grow our organisation and each other.
We say what we think even when it is difficult, and we are under pressure.
We take smart risks & are disciplined in our decision making.
We question actions inconsistent with our values.
We hold ourselves accountable for outcomes, good and bad. We don’t pass the buck and each of us is responsible for our words, our actions, and our results.
We do the right thing and stand for what is just and right, holding ourselves to a high level of ethical standards.
We empower each other to take ownership of our actions.
We set high expectations and make them happen by adding value and using data to drive results.

We act with empathy, honesty, transparency, and integrity.
We value the talent, time and intentions of everyone we work with.
We don’t turn up late for calls and meetings; we don’t take calls or talk to others when on calls.
We keep our promises and stick to our deadlines.
We embrace diversity in all of its forms.
