It is with regret that we inform our community that the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships have been postponed.
The Senior World Championships, scheduled for April 2022 in Wuxi, China, will now take place in the fourth quarter of 2022. While this is a huge disappointment, the health and wellbeing of all athletes in a COVID-19 world remain paramount.
Based on the information above and to allow for athlete preparation, Australian Taekwondo will hold its World Selection Event 8 weeks before the new date. We will continue to liaise with World Taekwondo and provide further information and date confirmation when known.
The Australian Taekwondo selection event scheduled for February 5, 2022, will go ahead as planned. More information regarding this event will be provided shortly.
