Notice of Australian Taekwondo 2023 Annual General Meeting, Nominations for Director Position and Call for Motions 

In accordance with Section 10.3 of the Constitution, notice is hereby given that the 2023 annual general meeting (AGM) of Australian Taekwondo (AT) will take place on Saturday, 14th October at 6:00 pm (AWST) in person at the Gold Netball Centre Boardroom, 200 Selby Street, Jolimont WA or via Video Conference at 6:00 pm (AWST), which will be 9:00 pm (AEDT).

The formal notice of meeting will be released on the 23rd of September 2023, outlining the business to be conducted, including:

• All information required to be included in accordance with the Corporations act;
  
• In the case of a proposed special resolution, the intention to propose the special resolution and the terms of the proposed special resolution and the terms of the proposed special resolution;
  
• Where applicable, any notice of motion received from any voting member or Director in accordance with the Corporations Act; and
  
• A list of all nominations received for positions to be elected at the relevant general meeting.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Constitution, there will be three vacancies on the board of directors. We are now calling for nominations for election to the Board of Directors of AT.

The Constitution also requires that the directors are elected using the ‘first past the post’ system, accordingly the three Elected Directors receiving the highest number of votes after each round will serve a three-year term.

Additionally, we are calling for any notices of motion or proposed special resolutions to be dealt with by the meeting. All ‘Notices of business’, and proposed ‘Special resolutions’ must be received via email 

CEO@austkd.com.au by 6:00 pm (AWST, AEDT) on the 23rd of September, 2023, in accordance with Section 10.3 (b) of the Constitution. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Under the Australian Taekwondo Limited Constitution, lodgement of proxy or attorney documents must be submitted via email to CEO@austkd.com.au at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Annual General Meeting. Late lodgement of these documents will not be accepted.
