History has been made for Australian Para Taekwondo. Shrijana Ghising has claimed Gold at the 2026 World Taekwondo Para Grand Prix in Muju, Australia's first-ever Gold Medal at a World Taekwondo Para Grand Prix.

In accordance with Section 10.3 of the Constitution, notice is hereby given that the 2023 annual general meeting (AGM) of Australian Taekwondo (AT) will take place at 3pm on the 8th November 2024 in person and online at the South Pine Sports Complex.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Constitution, there will be two vacancies on the board of directors. We are now calling for nominations for election to the Board of Directors of AT.
If you wish to nominate for an elected director position, please click here to read the ‘Expression of Interest Nominations for the Board of Directors, noting that nominations are via an online form and must be received by 5:00 pm (AWST, AEDT) 11th October 2024.
The Constitution also requires that the directors are elected using the ‘first past the post’ system, accordingly the two Elected Directors receiving the highest number of votes after each round will serve a three-year term.
Additionally, we are calling for any notices of motion or proposed special resolutions to be dealt with by the meeting. All ‘Notices of business’, and proposed ‘Special resolutions’ must be received via email secretary@austkd.com.au by 5:00 pm (AWST, AEDT) on the 11th October, in accordance with Section 10.3 (b) of the Constitution. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. Under the Australian Taekwondo Limited Constitution, lodgement of proxy or attorney documents must be submitted via email to secretary@austkd.com.au at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Annual General Meeting. Late lodgement of these documents will not be accepted.

The Australian Taekwondo team brought its overseas tour to a triumphant close at the 8th Asia Taekwondo Indonesian Open (G2) in Jakarta, delivering some of the best results of the year. Against a fiercely contested international from South East Asia and beyond, the Australians returned eight medal: four gold, one silver and three bronze. In a remarkable show of strength, the team also accrued four major team awards for the event.
