Australian Taekwondo has announced a new partnership with leading medal and awards supplier,
Badges and Medals, to strengthen the organisation’s commitment to running high-quality, more
sustainable events across the country.
The partnership also gives Australian Taekwondo and its clubs easier access to Badges and Medals’
sustainable ranges, including recycled-metal medals, ethically produced awards, recyclable
packaging and transparent, responsible manufacturing practices.
From 2025, Badges and Medals will supply medals and awards for key Australian Taekwondo events,
as well as provide exclusive benefits to affiliated clubs. As part of the partnership, affiliated clubs will
receive:
● 15% off standard Badges and Medals pricing
● Access to an in-house design team to create custom medals and awards
● Priority production access to help meet key event timelines
For us, it’s about more than just the medal at the end of the day,” said Nic from Australian
Taekwondo. “Partnering with Badges and Medals means we’re working with a supplier whose
business practices align with our sustainability goals.
By partnering with a specialist supplier that combines design, manufacturing and sustainability,
Australian Taekwondo is aiming to set a higher standard for how events are recognised and
celebrated at both national and club level.
“It’s encouraging to see a national sporting organisation take sustainability seriously in such a
practical way. Australian Taekwondo is setting a positive example for others by aligning
recognition with responsible production.”” said Hamish Larsen, CEO of Badges and Medals.
They want great-looking medals, but they also want confidence around where those medals
come from, how they’re made and the impact they have.
Beyond supplying awards, the partnership is designed to support Australian Taekwondo’s wider
vision for sustainable growth and stronger community impact across the sport.
