Congratulations to Grand Master Hassan Iskandar OAM

Australian Taekwondo is delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of Grand Master Hassan Iskandar, who has been honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding service to Taekwondo.

A true icon in the martial arts community, Grand Master Hassan has dedicated more than 50 years to the art of Taekwondo and other martial disciplines, achieving the prestigious rank of 9th Degree Black Belt. As the owner and director of Pinnacle Martial Arts Academy, Grand Master Hassan has been a mentor to countless athletes, guiding many to success as national, international, and continental medallists, as well as representing Australia on junior and senior teams.

Hailing from Earlwood, Grand Master Hassan has consistently demonstrated excellence in his leadership roles. He served as President of Australian Taekwondo from 2017 to 2021 and was the first Australian in 50 years to be elected to the World Taekwondo Federation Council in 2021. He is also a proud inductee of the Taekwondo Hall of Fame.

Grand Master Hassan’s lifelong contributions have left an indelible mark on the sport of Taekwondo in Australia and beyond. His commitment to excellence, community leadership, and passion for martial arts have inspired generations.
