Australian Taekwondo Celebrates Prestigious Honour for President Jean Kfoury OAM

Australian Taekwondo proudly acknowledges Australian Taekwondo President Jean Kfoury OAM, who officially received the Medal of the Order of Australia insignia on 11 May 2026 at Government House in Adelaide.

The insignia was presented by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, in recognition of President Kfoury’s exceptional service to Taekwondo, distinguished leadership, and enduring contribution to the advancement of Taekwondo in Australia and internationally.

Australian Taekwondo extends its sincere congratulations to President Kfoury on this prestigious and well-deserved honour.

For more than 45 years, Grand Master Jean Kfoury OAM has dedicated his life to the art, philosophy, and development of Taekwondo. His lifelong commitment to excellence, integrity, mentorship, and community leadership has left an undeniable mark on the sport and inspired generations of athletes, officials, instructors, and leaders across Australia and beyond.

This recognition reflects decades of sustained service and contribution to the promotion, governance, education, and advancement of Taekwondo at both national and international levels. It stands as acknowledgement of a lifetime defined by discipline, leadership, humility, and distinguished service to the community.

Beyond an extraordinary international résumé and numerous professional achievements, Grand Master Kfoury is widely respected for promoting the true spirit and essence of Taekwondo grounded in humility, respect, discipline, compassion, and service to others.
