Volunteer at the National Championships

The Australian Taekwondo Championships are fast approaching, and we're putting the call out for Volunteers for various support roles.

Why volunteer?

Being a volunteer is a great way to meet new people, represent your club, learn new skills, gain experience, impart experience, and be part of a team.

  • Parents, partners, or siblings of an athlete who volunteer can access a free spectator ticket. 
  • Volunteers will receive one food voucher per shift
  • Volunteers will receive a free event t-shirt.



REFEREES

  • APPLICATIONS CLOSED. Please contact the referee committee for assistance or further information. 

Oversee each fight to a high standard and ensure that Taekwondo rules are adhered to. Referees will also support athlete weigh-ins on Thursday and Friday. Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm February 27, 2022.

 

 

EVENT PRODUCTION SUPPORT

Event production helps with bump in and bump out, venue set up and provides support in making the site safe and ready for spectators and competitors. Manual labour will be required as part of this role. Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm  March 18, 2022

RESULT RUNNERS

Located at each mat, the result runner is responsible for taking result slips to the results desk for entry into the results system. Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm  March 18, 2022

MARSHALS

Event marshals ensure athlete pairs are correct and the appropriate checks are made before each fight.  Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm  March 18, 2022

CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF

General customer service duties, directing patrons, ushering, answering questions, athlete support, and ensuring those attending have a great experience. Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm  March 18, 2022

FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF

Servicing athletes, coaches, and spectators as they arrive. This role includes checking tickets, issuing entry passes, and selling tickets at the door. Applications for this role need to be received by 5:00 pm  March 18, 2022

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANTS

Let your creative skills run wild across our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok channels. This role will help to create compelling event content across AT’s social media channels, help with community management, and live result updates. SCORING OPERATORS
