Selection Policies - Events of National Significance

Team and staff selection policies provide a fair and unbiased selection process, which facilitates the selection of the best team of athletes and support staff who will potentially achieve the best results when representing Australia.

The policy information below for Events of National Significance is updated as details are confirmed by the relevant governing body or agency. While Australian Taekwondo actively communicates updates via direct email and our digital channels, we encourage athletes, coaches and clubs to check this page regularly for any important updates. Communication

The onus is on athletes, coaches, and clubs to ensure their contact information is correct on the RevSport system. Clubs who choose to list their details as the primary contact for an athlete are therefore responsible for communicating any critical information from Australian Taekwondo with their athlete/s or coach. Australian Taekwondo takes no responsibility for any email not received by an athlete when their club has chosen to be the central point of contact. If you are not receiving communications from Australian Taekwondo, please check your contact information on RevSport. If you are unable to log in, please speak with your club.

1. Team Selection for the Oceania Championships will be as per the Pacific Games Selection Policy.
2. Athletes selected for the Pacific Games will be the same for the Oceania Championships. Please see the Pacific Games tab above for information.
3. Athletes selected for the Pacific Games (see Pacific Games Policy Above) will be the same for the Oceania Championships.
Note that the Oceania Championships is in Olympic weight categories.
